Marqués de Riscal has been leading the field since 1858, when it was first to produce a wine following Bordeaux methods. This was the time when phylloxera was ravaging French vineyards, so the French hopped over to Spain! 160 years later, Marqués de Riscal is still striking out, it's amazing iconic winery, with its beautiful titanium curls as roof is quite something to behold. However, its wines are beautifully traditional as you'll taste in this silky, delicately flavoured and very long Reserva. It's showing age and is delicate, so handle carefully. It has its original cork, delicate too. It may crumble. Simply then push into the wine, sieve the liquid into a jug and pour back into the clean bottle. It'll need serving straight away.
