RedHeads Rusty Roof Riesling 2020

Barossa Valley

Ace team at RedHeads source grapes from exceptional growers in South Australia. In this case, that's Murray and Lorraine Heidenreich in the Barossa. Cool fermenting the grapes at their eco winery, RedHeads excelled with this crisp, tangy lime white.

RedHeads has been blazing a trail since 2002, first in the McLaren Vale, now in the Barossa. They like to show the Big Boys of these smart regions that they're a winemaking force to be reckoned with. At their new, purpose-built eco-winery (they are 97% solar-powered and almost self-sufficient in water), they inherited a building with a charming rusty roof. A true RedHead. They name their one-off, small batch wines after it. These parcels of grapes come from exceptional grower-mates – they've developed a great network of them throughout the best regions. 'Liberating these grapes from the anonymous big blends, they make amazing wines. Hence Rusty Roof Riesling – zesty, lime-fresh and crisp. Tip top solo; tasty with spicy Thai cuisine.
