This wine may have humble 'Vin de France' on the label, but it's from one of the top names in the northern Rhône. Michel Chapoutier is renowned worldwide for his organic and biodynamic wines, as well as being the first to do braile labels. In 1998, he started working with Domaine Ferraton, itself a highly reputed family estate of 70 years standing. With Chapoutier input, quality has stepped up even higher. The result is delicious and impressive wines and in the case of the La Tournée range, excellent value. Using classic Rhône grapes Syrah and Cinsault, the wine was cool fermented for maximum berry freshness and lemony zip. Chill down, it's moreish solo and very versatile with food – seafood, creamy chicken, Japanese noodles and salads.
