For elegant Aussie Cabernet you won’t find many better than Rymill 3 Mile Lane. It comes from Rymill Estate in premium Coonawarra on the Limestone Coast, one of the top regions for this grape in all Australia. That's thanks to the area's long, cool ripening season and its renowned terra rossa soils, which results in fine, rich, well-structured reds, with bold velvety fruit. These famous soils are a magic mixture of red volcanic earth over porous limestone and clay, which makes for superb concentration in its wines. John Riddoch discovered the area’s potential in 1890, and his great grandson, Peter Rymill, founded his eponymous 5-Star estate in 1974. 3 Mile Cabernet is dark and alluring. Open a couple of hours before serving and decant.
