Salt Bay is a zesty-fresh new wine made by two exceptional winemakers – Anselmo Mendes, supreme in Vinho Verde, and Diogo Lopes, another leading figure. They've used three native grapes – some of the finest within Portugal's broad-ranging portfolio. Viosinho and Alvarinho (the same as Spain's Albarino), both characterful and zesty, were blended with the freshness of Arinto, plus a dash of Sauvignon Blanc. All were sourced from Portugal's Navarré, renowned for having the biggest rollers in the world. Surfers' Nirvana. This is a super ocean-fresh white with light tropical fruit, finishing with lemony zip, while time on fine lees adds a touch of creamy roundness. No capsule either to minimise packaging. Great solo or with a paella or fish.
