As Spain’s most cult and – in the opinion of experts – finest wine region of all, Ribera del Duero wines at a value this good are very rare. Even rarer at Reserva level. It's thanks to our very good friend in Rioja, Javier Murúa, who dreamt of buying an estate in Ribera. It had to be the best though, no compromise. He found the one and in the cellars, discovered cases languishing of the winery's stunning old-vintage Reservas. Needing space for his first harvest, he called us up to help him out. It’s a classic Ribera del Duero – bigger and richer than Rioja, packing inky dark fruits and layered with oak spice. What’s more it’s from the stunning 2016 vintage. A seriously fine wine indeed. Drinking supremely now and over the next few years.
