Our first foray into Mallorca and what a stunner. The cellar's first wine was only released in 2018 and within eight months, the Blanco was listed by six Michelin star restaurants throughout Spain. Dazzling mineral freshness and ripe pear fruit.
This is a tiny production wine from a cellar up in the Tramuntana mountains. The team firmly believe in minimal intervention, so very little is added during the winemaking process. Not even yeast – natural yeast on grape skins does the job. Native varieties are the main focus – Premsal and Giro Ros for whites, Gorgollassa, Callet and Mantenegro for reds – with a few extra besides. Champion of these varieties is Carlos Rodriguez Furthmann, the self taught winemaker at the winery. Early on in his career, his talent was spotted and he was lucky to be mentored by one of the island's top winemakers. For this white, he worked with Reg Ward - a Kiwi winemaker now firmly embedded in Mallorcan culture! Serve with seafood, as you would in Mallorca.
"I've watched this exciting winery blossom. I'm delighted to be able to show you this amazing white"
