Winemaker Juan Antonio Leza broke boundaries to craft this fantastically fresh Albariño. Divided by the stroke of a pen, these grapes share the same climate, same soil and same expertise. With an intense citrus core it’s a refreshingly moreish sip.

Albariño has fast become a star of fresh white wines. Customers love its crisp, distinctive character. The two prime places to find the grape are in Rîas Baixas, north-west Spain, and just over the border in northern Portugal (known there as Alvarinho). Due to the raging demand for Albariño, our buyer Jean-Marc Sauboua set out to find you the very best he could. He found gold with Juan Antonio Leza’s daring blend. Leza is a renowned winemaker having worked for a top Rioja winery. Happy to break some rules to make the perfect wine, he crossed borders to craft this white. In truth it’s only ‘rule breaking’ by a stroke of a pen that establishes the national borders. And who cares when it tastes this good? Sea-breeze fresh, 5-star with seafood.

"An exciting Albariño/Alvarinho from a great winemaker, Juan Antonio Leza. Crisp white por excelente" Jean-Marc Sauboua
