Created by the winemaking icons Errázuriz president Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi in 1995, Seña’s iconic status was sealed at the 2004 Berlin blind tasting. Chilean wines Viñedo Chadwick and Seña came top of the world’s best Cabernet-blends, beating First Growth Bordeaux and Super Tuscans. The wines have since "been going from strength to strength in the very valid hands of winemaker Francisco Baettig and the biodynamic team" (WA). Only the best grapes from their Aconcagua vineyards go into this wine. Close to the Pacific ocean, cool breezes allow the grapes to develop slowly. The 2019 is "a wine with soul and length", elegant, yet powerful, with oaky complexity from 22 months ageing in new barrels. Superb now but will age well.

"Beautiful aromas of crushed berries, walnuts, allspice. A wine with soul and length. Give it time" James Suckling
