Of the 10 botanicals used to create this amazing gin, it is coriander and angelica that give the authentic ‘London’ flavour. From around the globe, the rest are: Macedonian juniper berries, Chinese cassia bark, Italian orris root, Madagascan cinnamon bark, Spanish ground almond, liquorice root, lemon peel and orange peel. Each carefully selected botanical plays its part in making a completely distinctive drink. Jared Brown is the wizard behind the blend. He teamed up with Sam Galsworthy and Fairfax Hall in 2009 to create Sipsmith, pledging always to use the traditional ‘one-shot’ method – gin is bottled straight from the still, mixed with water to the correct bottling strength. We like serving this fine gin with a lime slice, ice and tonic!
