Darron Anley is an IT professional turned beer entrepreneur. After hiring American brewer Ryan Witter-Merithew, he established Siren Craft in 2012. This is one of their original core beers, still much-loved – hazy, tropical-hop heaven Soundwave IPA!
Tasting notes
Mango, guava, bright bitter hoppy freshness, dank resin notes
Aroma
Ripe tropical fruits, citrus, hoppy and rounded, resinous notes
Siren Craft is a small outfit based in West Berkshire with a clear, stated aim: to arouse people’s curiosity in the endless flavour possibilities of beer. They believe it can be enjoyed in the same way as fine wine. The guys use up to eight times as many ingredients as you find in standard, large-production beer and make their brews in small batches to keep everything fresh. They also take a slow, artisanal approach to crafting it, saying it'll be ready when it’s time! Soundwave was one of their very first successes. It perfectly hits the balance between ripe, tropical fruity hoppiness and a refreshing resinous finish. It slips down easily with its American hop line-up of Citra, Simcoe, Chinook and Colombus. A great IPA.
