From one of South Africa's oldest wineries, 21 Gables is a showcase white. It uses the Cape's top white grape grown in premium Stellenbosch and balances superb lemony intensity with creamy roundness. No wonder it was awarded IWSC Best Chenin Blanc!

One of South Africa’s oldest wineries and a well-known Western Cape landmark, Spier is still family-owned three centuries since its establishment in 1692. Their rich and complex 21 Gables Chenin Blanc 2016 has been crafted with grapes handpicked from 43-year-old vines from a single vineyard in the prestigious Stellenbosch region (just 15km from the ocean). Matured for 14 months in French oak, the result is a Chenin Blanc with superb flavour and excellent ageing potential – full of dried apricot and ripe tropical fruits, with an oak and vanilla creaminess. From the first sip you'll see why the 2016 received the prestigious IWSC Best Chenin Blanc Trophy. This intensely lemony, gently oaked Chenin is best enjoyed with pork belly or salmon.
