Château Bernot is made by brothers Bruno and Pierre-Joel Bernard, whose family have run this property since the 16th century. The 2016 is a classic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, made using traditional winemaking techniques which have been passed down the family for generations.
To express and preserve the richness of this fine terroir, the brothers use the most natural methods possible giving the wines a purity and freshness
The vineyards are unusually situated above a cave and the natural underground springs and rocky subsoil bring a delicate minerality to the wine
Château Bernot is one of our most popular clarets and we have been working with winemaker Bruno Bernard now for over a decade
Tasting note: Youthful deep ruby colour with a nose full of red fruits. Fruity and supple on the palate, with fine balance of fruit and gentle tannin.
