We have a long history of bottling wines here in our Bristol cellars and our name has graced some of the finest bottles of wine in the world, from Cheval Blanc to Haut-Brion. While we don’t bottle wines here any more, we still have a long-earned reputation for our Averys label wines and we simply wouldn’t put our name on anything we didn’t rate as exceptional.
We’ve worked with Eric and David Martin of Domaine Martin to bring you this Averys exclusive. Their family vineyards are located between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas and they use traditional techniques to craft their fine reds
“Winemakers across the Rhône Valley are celebrating a vintage of excellent quality but very low quantity” Decanter Magazine on the 2017 vintage
Aged in old oak casks to add richness and complexity, it’s enticingly smooth with concentrated black fruit, pepper and spice
Tasting note:Ripe , juicy aromas of mulberries and red cherries with a matching palate of summer fruit compote. Hints of Provencal herbs and spices add complexity to this soft, velvety Côtes du Rhône.
