The Little Italian Rosé 2021

South Eastern Australia

Delicious new rosé from our great friends in Riverina. Bill Calabria's parents moved from Italy to Oz a century back, but the family is still Italian to the core. Their new rosé bridges that divide – ripe berry fruit with brisk lemony zing.

Bill Calabria is a second-generation Australian, whose parents first arrived in Riverina, New South Wales, in 1927. They brought with them their heritage - of growing vines and making wine. At first they made only a little for family and friends, but soon its popularity spread. The business has grown a lot since then, but is still very much family-owned and Italian at heart. Second-generation Bill Calabria has been in charge since 1974 and his children are now key to the business too. This is Little Italy in the heart of Australia's outback. Hence the name of their new-release rosé. It's a delicious, light, refreshing pink, made from a blend of largely Italian red varieties – Montepulciano and the like. Ideal solo or with lighter dishes.

"Lots of character and freshness. Bright, berry-fresh pink – Aussie with an Italian twist" Dan Parrott
