Bedrock Wine Co. was founded in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson. Working out of a small converted chicken coop in a friend’s backyard, Morgan focused on making characterful wines using top-quality grapes from thoughtfully farmed vineyards. Over time the chicken coop, its outdoor fermenters and tiny basket press gave way to production at another friend’s winery and eventually to a slightly more sophisticated tin-sided building. In addition, after six years of working alone, Morgan joined forces with another winemaker, Chris Cottrell, and took on a small team. The Whole Shebang is a luscious, rich blend of old-vine Zinfandel, Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Barbera and packed full of fruit. A warming glassful with hearty dishes.
