This is a sublime 'Grand Cru' white from the award-winning team at Hush Heath. The first vines were planted in 2002, but the Manor itself dates back to the 16th century and since the 1980s has been the home of the Balfour-Lynn family. The estate's 16 hectares of vine are grown very sustainably, with hedgerows around each vineyard. These, combined with the property’s ancient oak woodlands, give Hush Heath its own warmer microclimate. The estate is well known for its sparkling wines, but those will soon, we think, be eclipsed by this beauty. It's a blend of seven (sept) Champagne varieties – Chardonnay and Pinots Noir, Gris, Meunier, Blanc, plus Arbanne and Petit Meslier, all aged on lees for six months. Remarkably rich, long and complex.
