This top of the range red has already won 91 Points and a Double Gold – a single vineyard red from Tokara. Only the best blocks of grapes from this vineyard are used in this ageworthy wine. It comes from an estate close to the coast in Stellenbosch, the original and still the finest area for grape growing in the Cape. It's beautiful too – with views across to False Bay and in towards Table Mountain. Using nearly all Cabernet, gently handled and guided through its fermentation using all natural yeasts, this is a masterpiece in complexity. It's had 22 months ageing in 63% new French oak barrels, with regular racking to keep the fruit bright, so is complex and structured too. Open early and enjoy with red meats or parmigiana melanzane.
