Portugal boasts a superb range of unique, amazing quality wines which are great value, too. This rich, powerful red is from Casa Santos Lima, a grand, family run property located near Lisbon, close to the Atlantic coast. The estate was founded by Joaquim Santos Lima in the late 19th century and today, some three generations later, it produces its fair share of Portugal’s finest bottles. Winemaker Diogo Sepúlveda has worked in Pomerol, Napa and at the 5-Star Halliday rated Turkey Flat in the Barossa. Rich and ripe, with excellent structure, Valcatrina has a history of scooping top awards (23 Golds in four vintages!). With intense blackberry and damson fruit and toasty oak, it makes a tasty glass with roast beef, duck or vegetarian tagine.

"Just the type of full-bodied red I like. Full of flavour and smooth on the palate" Online Review
