A very special treat for lovers of fine Italian wines. Vie di Romans Chardonnay is a premium offering from a small estate noted by Wine Spectator for its “gorgeous wines”. All the grapes come from the Ciampagnis Vieris vineyard which basks in sunshine during the day and benefits from cooling Alpine downdraughts at night. This diurnal temperature variation accentuates the wine’s aromatic qualities. The Gallo family are so-called terroirists, dedicated to maximising the quality of wine from any given plot, and they apply great intellectual rigour in pursuit of their goals. This is a complex Chardonnay with lovely creamy weight and pure, ripe fruit of apricot and pear. Superb with cuisine such as polenta and creamy chicken or seafood risotto.

"Beautifully contoured with aromas of peach, melon, honey and passion fruit. A long finish" Monica Larner
