Crisp and elegant with green apple freshness, Gavi is often described as ‘the Chablis of Italy’. The best come from the chalky vineyards of ‘Gavi di Gavi’ which surround the town of Gavi itself and one of the biggest names you’ll find here is Villa Broglia. Villa Broglia’s roots stretch right back to AD972 but the estate was purchased by Bruno Broglia in 1972. For more than 30 years, renowned winemaker Donato Lanati, a former winner of Best Italian Winemaker at the Italian Sommelier Association, has been the name behind Villa Broglia’s award-winning wines.
