Domaine de la Bastide is an ancient southern Rhône property formerly run by Benedictine monks and before that as a farm by Knights Templar. Second generation Vincent Boyer has plenty of artefacts to suggest so, including ancient coins and a centuries' old wine vat. The Boyer family bought it in 1989 and today second generation Vincent and Stephanie run the estate. No other producer consistently performs so highly in our blind tastings as Domaine de la Bastide, every one of their wines are outstanding in their own right and their latest offering is no exception. A beautiful Sauvignon Viognier offering notes of dried herbs, white flowers, juniper and green olive with a touch of citrus. A wine that will hold its own salads and seafood.
