Viña Albina was founded in 1890 by the Artacho family and Rafael Carreras and was one of the region's pioneers. Over the decades they have expanded their facilities many times, to keep up with the latest technology. Its releases include well known names such as Monte Real, as well as its renowned Viña Albina wines. Finding a Gran Reserva of this age is rare and our Buyer Beth was really impressed by its gorgeous chocolate and caramel aromas and fruit of surprising freshness. The wine still has its original cork, so open with care. If the cork crumbles, simply push into the wine, then sieve the liquid into a jug. It won't affect the taste. It needs no breathing time, it's a very mature wine. Savour all its wonderful layers of flavour.
