Von Buhl is one of Germany’s oldest, most historic and finest wine estates and Grosses Gewächs is the equivalent of Grand Cru. With a terrific team in place, this is a supreme white, tightly structured and layered with flavours that'll slowly unfurl.

Departed now, in 2018 Mathieu Kauffmann was winemaker. Alsace by birth, he was the first non-Champenois to be appointed head winemaker at Bollinger. But he left all that glory behind to take up the position at Von Buhl. The reason: the remarkable quality of the estate vineyards – 8 Grands Crus and 6 Premiers Crus. He knew he could make amazing wines there and the results in your glass speak for themselves. Founded in 1849, the Von Buhl estate has an illustrious history. Their wines were some of the finest in the 19th century and today, once more, have the same vaulted reputation. The high plateau of Kieselberg has been renowned for fine wines since 1828 and with a cold wind and loamy sand soils, ensures ravishing freshness. Drink or cellar.
