Von Buhl Rieslings consistently receive well over 90/100 points from the world's most valued critics. A leading German wine publication lists one of the wines amongst the Best 100 in the World, and their top releases sell for £150 a half bottle. From 2013-2019 the head winemaker was Matthieu Kauffmann – previously chief at the renowned House of Bollinger – and he clearly hit the ground running. Grosses Gewächs, or GG, is the equivalent to France's Grand Cru and this elegant, expressive, dry Riesling really shows its class. The grapes are all from Pechstein – an extinct volcano, with black basalt soils lending superb minerality. 2019 was "exceptionally good" (Jancis Robinson MW), "the best I have ever tasted" (Suckling). One to cellar.

"An electrifying and vibrantly mineral dry Riesling with lots of tension and youthful grip" Stephen Reinhardt
