Rising from the banks of the Pinhão River, Quinta da Cavadinha’s high-altitude, south-east-facing aspect produces fragrant, aromatic wines with great richness and structure. Part of Warre’s flagship range, this vintage port’s complexity, balance and elegance is unrivalled. Warre’s history in the Douro dates back to 1670 and the estate is today in the hands of the highly respected Symington family. Decanter noted for the 2005 vintage, old vines located in high areas would produce the best grapes – and Quinta da Cavadinha has exactly that. Located on the high slopes and with exceptionally old vines, it is Warre's finest quinta. Rich in ripe red fruits, cocoa, rose and tobacco, it has the quality to mature for 25+ years. Decant before serving.
