Warre’s is one of the most respected names in port. Dating back to 1670, the estate has been under British ownership longer than any other port house. Its reputation has been further enhanced by the current owners, the renowned Symingtons who, according to William Warre MW of the original family (and still very much involved), have given it "the attention it needs". This fine 2017 port is largely a field blend (the old vineyards are planted with a mix of varieties, all picked in one sweep), backed up by portions of pure Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca from Quintas da Cavahinha, do Retiro and da Telhada in the three different subregions. It is a very fine vintage, with richness, structure and elegance, that'll age with great grace.
