Dom Pérignon has been Moët et Chandon’s most luxurious cuvée since its inaugural 1921 vintage and is only made in outstanding years. 2010 is remarkable for its turnaround. It was a dry year, until the three day deluge mid August. Berries swelled, some split, rot threatened, but the legendary team of Moët worked around the clock and have produced one of their finest releases ever. Dom Pérignon was a 17th century monk at the abbey in Hautvillers, and his ambition was to make “the best wine in the world”. Hugh Johnson dubbed him the wine world’s ‘first perfectionist’. Fitting then that this should be made from the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and only released after a decade in the cellar. A wine of extraordinary complexity and finesse.

"Firm and vivid Champagne with a precise, focused palate. Full-bodied and dry. It’s very layered" James Suckling
