It's surprising to think that the South Island's Marlborough region wasn't even allowed to grow grapes in the 1980s. Special permission from the government had to be sought for the pioneering first few vine growers. Alfalfa and barley were the norm. Today, of course, the region is the Golden Valley of Sauvignon Blanc (plus a few other great grapes besides) and wine lovers can't get enough of it. Overstone is a delicious new addition to our range. Pure Sauvignon Blanc, brought straight into the cellar and cool fermented to capture maximum fruit and freshness. It doesn't need to be summer to enjoy this wine – pure refreshment any time of the year. Bright, crisp and fruity – delightful on its own, with seafood and spicy eastern cuisine.
