Château La Rose Montauran comes from a family-owned and run estate in Bordeaux’s Entre- deux-Mers region.
Francis Lasnier looks after the 27 hectares of vineyards in Jugazan, most of which are Merlot with just a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon
The winemaking is overseen by former classed-growth winemaker, Etienne Pelissie, and the results can clearly be seen in this wine
This vintage is a blend of Merlot (90%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and is a supple wine brimming with ripe raspberry and blackberry fruit
Tasting note: This is a young, rich and vibrant red with lots of ripe berry fruit and just a hint of toastiness. This finish is well rounded with fine, harmonious tannins. It’s perfect for enjoying with barbecued food, roasted meats, charcuterie and cheeses.
