High above the Rhône's tiny village of Séguret is Domaine de Mourchon, "run with incredible talent and passion by British-born Walter McKinlay" (Wine Advocate). "Stacked with high quality wines", their rosé is bright, berry scented, crisp and poised.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.
But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.
The Wine
There is no end of acclaim for the fine wines of Domaine de Mourchon. Jancis Robinson MW puts them “amongst the most interesting 5% of wine made today”. Top US critic Robert Parker is even more effusive: “This is a tour de force in winemaking from the Côtes du Rhône Villages of Séguret. Kudos to Domaine de Mourchon! These splendid cuvées are all worth buying by the caseload.” The estate was only founded in 1998 by the McKinlay family – 17 hectares of mature vines without a cellar or a name. The winery was completed in 2000 and winemaker Sebastien Magnouac joined them. Since then, the wines have made a serious impression worldwide. Using low yield grapes from their Loubié lieu dit, the rosé is great solo, with spicy dishes or seafood.

Easily the reference point estate in Séguret, and in reality, in all of the Côtes du Rhône Villages
