Stellenrust Heritage Collection Pinotage 2022

Stellenrust is an exceptional Stellenbosch estate – winner of many top awards, including 2019 Winemaker of the Year and White Wine of the Year three times. That was for their remarkable Chenin Blanc. In 2021 their Pinotage was among the Top Ten in South Africa. The property was originally founded in the 1600s, became a wine estate nearly a century back, but its fortunes turned in 1999, when dentist-turned-winemaker Tertius Boshoff and accountant Kobie van der Westhuizen took over. As Wine magazine SA wrote, “The rise of the Stellenrust brand is frankly remarkable.” Their Heritage Collection is the flagship range, "where soil meets vine meets soul." Matured a year in French oak, this rich, dark red is ideal with roast meats or a hearty stew.
