Germany has always produced some of the world's finest Rieslings. With the help of slightly warmer temperatures, German winemakers have perfected a dry style of wine too. As this fine white proves, they can be gloriously zingy with brilliant, ripe apple, peach and lemon fruit, undercut by intense mineral poise. This classic dry Riesling from historic Rheinhessen was made by Dominik Meyer at the award winning Niersteiner Weingossenschaft, founded in 1930. It's from the wonderfully ripe 2022 vintage, too, so there's ample fruit to savour too. Whether enjoyed as an aperitif or as a partner to fish, spicy Asian food or pork, it's undeniably delicious.
