Sancerre
lies at the eastern end of the Loire Valley and is home to arguably the greatest Sauvignon Blancs in the world. What sets Sancerre apart is that the wines are remarkably restrained, complex and elegant for Sauvignon Blanc. Whereas New Zealand Sauvignons abound with ripe tropical fruit, these are delicate and citrussy with a chalky minerality that is distinctively Sancerre.
