Bierzo wines are hugely popular in Spain but still rarely seen in the UK. This crisp, refreshing white comes from some of the oldest vineyards in the region and is made by Ricardo Palacios – a winemaker who was a driving force in Bierzo’s resurgence. Bierzo has garnered the attention of wine lovers for its fresh and elegant wines made from local grapes – Mencia and GodelloMade from grapes hand picked from 45-55 year-old bush vines, this old vine Godello is silky and mineral with ripe citrus fruits and fresh floral notes The wine is aged on its lees adding a delicate creaminess and richness of texture . Juicy, dry white with a crisp mineral finish and an irresistible silky texture. Delicious on its own and even better with seafood, this is a must-try for fans of crisp, zesty whites like Sauvignon Blanc.
