To achieve 5 Red Stars is like receiving the Golden Ticket for Aussie wineries. Highly sought after and rarely given. It’s bestowed by the James Halliday Companion, founded by the eponymous critic, and signifies a winery that produces consistently excellent wines. So expect great things from this smoky Shiraz. The wine was in fact originally destined for China. Yet due to the imposition of tariffs and a cancelled order, it needed a new home. When our buyer got wind of this, he snapped it up - a limited parcel of top-shelf wine for a special price. While the winery's name is under lock and key, we don’t think you’ll mind when you taste what’s in the bottle. Juicy plum and cherry with gentle spice, it's a top choice with hearty pasta bake.
