The Spirit
France’s most famous spirit, Cognac has been appreciated by epicurean connoisseurs for centuries. Since the 1990s, it has also enjoyed an unexpected surge in popularity thanks to being adopted by the hip-hop culture. None has more cachet than Hennessy – a name inextricably linked with the notion of luxury and the search for perfection. Their VS is a beautifully balanced blend of 40 eaux-de-vies, selected from the Hennessy collection to provide a fine balance of floral notes, ripe apple, with accents of wood, nuttiness and vanilla spice. The team put the spirit in well seasoned barrels (used previously for brandy) in order to preserve the subtleties of these characters. Savour as a restorative glass on its own or enjoy as part of a cocktail.
