A superb Grüner Veltliner from Netzl, a small, family run estate with 26 hectares of vines. The vineyards are cooled by the chill winds of the nearby River Daub allowing the intense aromas and acidity of the grapes to be preserved. The super-trendy Grüner Veltliner grape is being hailed as ‘the next big thing’ and is now a mainstay on smart restaurant wine listsYou’ll struggle to find a more versatile or food-friendly grapeThis is a really classic example and brilliant value too. It comes from the region of Carnuntum, south east of Vienna. With typical varietal aromas (green apples and stone fruits), this is a well as a mineral edge this is a balanced and fresh Austrian white.
