Gaillac is one of the oldest winemaking appellations in France. Located north of Toulouse in the southwest, near Cahors, it’s best known for its light, crisp white wines – often with a subtle hint of pétillance. Just what you’ll find in the appetising Aura. The grapes were picked especially early in the season, each morning at dawn – a time known locally as ‘aura’ – to capture maximum freshness. This early-picked fruit also means the wine sits naturally at just 9% alcohol. Crafted mostly with Loin de l’Oeil, the main grape of Gaillac, meaning ‘far from the eye’, it’s blended with a portion of citrusy Floreal. The result? A super fresh, thirst-quenching white wine.
