Visit the quality obsessed winery of Deep Woods and you’ll find winemaker Julian Langworthy working his magic. He’s behind their recent 97 point ‘Best Cabernet in Australia’, which sold out in days, plus two other wines that received 98 and 97 points from Halliday in 2016. Wine Director, Nick Taylor, was touring Western Oz when news broke of the awards, so he diverted to the cellar and discovered a sumptuous Cabernet Shiraz. This is the luscious follow up vintage – Matthew Jukes' Wine of the Week – a dense, velvety red with classic Margaret River structure for ageing. And thanks to the special connection Nick made on his visit, he’s secured it at a stand-out price. The wine is still young, so let it breathe, then enjoy with roast lamb.
