Disaronno Originale
In its beautiful square-shaped bottle, first designed by Venice’s Murano glassmakers in the 1970s, Disaronno is a distinct and characterful amaretto-style liqueur with a long history. A perfect base for a cocktail or over ice.

The Spirit
The Disaronno liqueur started life in the early 20th century. Back in the 1600s, in Saronno, northwest of Milan, families often used to make their own amaretto-style liqueur. The Reina family certainly did and in the early 1900s, Domenico Reina discovered his family’s ancient recipe for it. He tried it out and opened a workshop for his endeavours – handily close to the terminus of the steam tram line to Milan! That same secret recipe has been passed down the family generations ever since. It’s only the bottle that has changed, moving into its distinct square-shaped bottle in the 1970s.  A top choice to serve over ice or as a base for creative cocktails like the Godfather, Disaronno spritz (with sparkling water) or Disaronno Sour.
