The Story Behind the Bottle
One of our favourite Muscadets! For more than a decade we’ve worked with Jérémie Huchet and his father, Yves, at Domaine de la Chauvinière and every year we’re blown away by their wines. In fact, we taste Muscadets from lots of other producers but rarely does one come close. Domaine de la Chauvinière is located in the premium Sèvre et Maine region with the vineyards located on granite soils known as ‘granit de Château-Thébaud’. These give the wine its elegant mineral and complex structure. Like the best Muscadets, it’s aged on its lees over winter to add a little creamy weight and richness of flavour. Crisp and refreshing with flavours of bright citrus and crunchy green apple, it's a classic with moules marinières and other seafood.
