Flavour Profile
For many rosé fans, just seeing the name Provence on the label is enough to set the tastebuds tingling with anticipation. And rightly so – this idyllic French region has a deserved reputation for stylish pale pinks with delicate citrus and red berry fruit.
But here you’ve something a little more special – Clos Fleuri is a rarity in Provence because it is not only from a single estate but from a single named vineyard. Winemaker Mathieu Lacroix has dedicated half his lifetime to nurturing the vines of Clos Fleuri and now, for the first time, he has produced a luxury rosé purely from these precious vines.
Our buyer Sarah has just tasted it in the cellar and is hugely excited. “This has incredible freshness and purity with zesty citrus and a lip-smacking marmalade tang,” she says.
Elegant, bright and beautifully poised, it’s perfect with grilled sea bass, herby roast chicken or a fresh tomato and basil salad.
