The Pinard family domaine has presided over vineyards around the village of Bué since the 17th century. Brothers Florent and Clement run the property today. It has been organic for the last 15 years. The domaine has an enviable list of top sites. They also manage a tiny plot within the La Moussière vineyard, owned by a friend. It lies right at the top of the Sancerre slope – a slope so unique with its special Saint Doulchard marl soil and aspect that it is officially classified on its own. Moussière is royalty among Sancerres and you won’t be disappointed by the intensity, poise and intrigue of finely nuanced flavours it presents, flattered by ageing in large Tonellerie Lacroix oak. Serve with finest seafood or gently cream-sauced dishes.
