The Story Behind the Bottle
It seems customers can’t get enough of the bright fruit and grassy zip of New Zealand’s tasty Sauvignon Blancs. Of course Marlborough is the famous home of classic Sauvignon, but our Buyer Down Under, Dan, knows that there's plenty of top quality and great value to be found by looking a little further afield. On the East Coast of North Island he found Elmstone 2020. Thanks to the ocean-cooled climate of this region, it's brilliantly herbaceous with all the usual Kiwi exuberance. It’ll fit the bill all the year round: great well chilled in summer and equally good in colder winter months to perk up the taste buds. Ideal to enjoy on its own, but will also make a perfect partner to pan-fried salmon, other seafood, or spicy Asian dishes.
