English Heritage Sparkling Duo

To champion our homegrown wine industry, Laithwaites has teamed up with English Heritage to create two new sparkling wines – a classic Brut and an elegant rosé. Both are made at Sussex’s Ridgeview estate by award-winning winemaker Simon Roberts. For these cuvées, he selects grapes from the estate’s south-facing slopes, then guides the fruit from vineyard to bottle using Champagne’s traditional method, including long lees ageing. The white is Chardonnay-based with Pinot Noir and Meunier – it’s elegant and refreshing with citrus, melon and honey aromas. The rosé has berry aromas, a fresh, fruity taste and biscuity complexity.
