The Story Behind the Bottle
This new release is a perfect white for wine lovers keen to explore. Vermentino is the main component, a characterful grape and one of Italy’s most prized. It’s most famous (and pricey) for being grown in the vineyards of Sardinia, but it also appears in Liguria as Pigato and in Piedmont as Favorita. And further afield, in southern France – Corsica and Provence – it’s known as Rolle. A master of disguises. Give-it-a-go Aussies thought they’d plant it and, although still relatively rare, its wines show excellent results. The Explorer’s Club dazzles with its bright stone fruit, lemon zest, dried herbs and sea-spray character. Go on, be adventurous and enjoy a glass of The Explorer’s Club. The real deal for freshness and fruit.
