The Story Behind the Bottle
Winemaker Mark Hoddy says Grenache Gris is one of the Midi’s greatest hidden gems, making whites that are wonderfully rich and lusciously spiced. But it's very rare to find the grape flying solo in a wine. So Mark made it his mission to track down the ripest, most concentrated Grenache Gris grapes and allow them to shine in their own right. When he found his holy grail vineyard, high in the Languedoc hills, he set to work on creating a masterpiece. That meant fermenting a good portion in oak barrels, which gives GG toasty richness and adds weight and depth. It’s a blossom-scented beauty, bursting with gently spiced mandarin and stone fruit flavours that makes it a tasty partner to sauced chicken or salmon en croûte.
