The Spirit
An exciting new-release gin from Hendrick's, a haven of spirit production since 1999. It lies in the tiny seaside village of Girvan in SW Scotland. Each batch makes just 500 litres, so that the Master Distiller, the now legendary Ms Leslie Gracie, has full control of quality and flavour. Her gins are one of kind, smooth and subtly flavoured – a blend of spirit from two different stills. The Bennett steeps the botanicals in spirit overnight before distillation, while the Carter-Head gently steams them. Grand Cabaret was inspired by Leslie’s discovery of a popular libation in Paris a century back – a stone fruit liqueur sipped with gin. She experimented and Grand Cabaret is the result.
