The Story Behind the Bottle
Founded in 1937, Jean-Pierre Moueix is one of Bordeaux’s most respected négociants, renowned for its role in distributing the great wines of Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. This special release comes from a Bordeaux legend – Christian Moueix, who crafted the iconic Petrus, the world’s most famous Merlot, for 38 years. His J-P Moueix Pomerol a blend from the Jean-Pierre Moueix family vineyards and other noteworthy châteaux of the appellation. As Decanter writes, Pomerol is “the absolute in wine seduction” – and this sumptuous red wine proves exactly why. Look forward to plush dark berries and subtle notes of smoke and spice. The palate is silky with a long, satisfying finish. Decant before serving and enjoy alongside beef, duck or aged cheeses.
